Extreme Cheese

Casu Marzu cheese is one extreme culinary treat.

mmmm tasty

It’s Pecorino Sardo cheese that someone thought to add cheese fly larvae too. The larvae chew it up and crap it out and then you get to eat it. Some people don’t even pick the larvae out before they eat it. It’s so hardcore that Wikipedia even has a section about the dangers of eating this cheese.

Thanks (or not) to The Consumerist for this.

Has Abodes.org turned into the Food Network? Did I miss the memo?

Pizza is yummy but instead of pizza I made some bean dip. Good stuff.

I didn’t have to make anything. It was purchased for me. Free pizza > any other food. This holds true for almost every type of pizza. Mushrooms and anchovies need not apply.

Clam - you got a problem with Food Network?

Actually, the abodes.org food blog is located at foods.abodes.org. I’m just not a very good blogger so I haven’t bothered to do much with it other than post a few things.

And this cheese is pretty much the grossest thing ever.
