According to a recent study, the U.S.A. ranks #40 in annual alcohol consumption. Most European countries drink more than us, with Luxomberg being #1. Their first place finish is attributed to low booze taxes. The article goes on to say that Ireland is #2, but there’s “No such explanation for the Irish” drinking so much. Really, they could have just said “there’s no explanation for the Irish” and left it at that…
