About Abodes.org
Abodes was not always Abodes.org. Abodes was first created in November of 1872, located on the side of an oak tree. The oak tree was later felled and used for firewood by a local family. In 1873 after facing this setback we decided to carve it into a cliff in the middle of nowhere. On October 4, 1927 some punk named Gutzon Borglum decided to carve over top of it, thus providing another major setback.
There were a few more failed attempts between then and now (the worst including a donkey and an electric shaver) but here we are. In the early part of 2003 the current online version of Abodes was created. The first generation was called crude. I do not know what the problem with making monkeys type everything for you is, nor why you would call it crude. Oh well. We have progressed a great deal since 1872.
Now you know the history of this wonderful place. 
We are here and here we will stay… for a while… until we get the moon laser working.
